A couple of close-ups of the plaque

Signed, sealed and delivered!

Really enjoyed this one! Such well behaved pups. Did not even shed in my studio!

Nearing completion

Did not take photos between the two smaller pups. I am almost finshed here, just need to complete the name.

Dog Two Done...

This one was the an easy one...very photogenic and all the photos supplied were very clear.

Dog One Done...

One Dog down, Three to go! I have base coated the name...mostly a visual crutch on my part.

The Christmas Plaque

Here is the line drawing for a Christmas commission I did. A couple of the photos were not to clear and having never met these lovely pups in person, some guesswork was in order!

Signing off for the night...

Got a LOT done today! I can see daylight on this one..This would have been a good piece to use on a fabric & folds demonstration! Looking to complete this week.

If it looks like I'm not getting anywhere with this...

Well, it is going slow! There is a lot of detail in this one...that's why you have to charge more for detail; it takes a lot longer. Nearing completion on the swim-top and starting the swim short. working on concrete, pool and water detail a little at a time, well, because it is not too fun!

WIP-Black Lab Commission

I had a surprise one day visit from a grandchild this weekend and only got to work a short time. I am getting very close to completing this piece. Hoping to deliver this week. Sometimes, I find the plain areas of fur to be the most difficult...harder to see some of the shapes.

WIP- Black Lab Commission

Here is the latest. Did not get much done yesterday. Of course, I am now working on the "boring part". Ann Kullberg is right, save the eyes for last...they are the "Fun Part"!  I found great satisfaction in working on the eyes and the complicated mouth on this piece. In this case, I am trying to work from left to right to keep from smearing or smudging. Working on large areas af fur can be quite tedious although in this case, there is some shaping involved. I hope to put in more "fur" time this afternoon.

WIP- Black Lab Commission "The Eyes Have It!"

Started the other eye area this morning. I am posting several updates. Note that I have softened the area where the sky and land meet. It looked to hard to me. As I move along, I keep going back to the mouth area to tweak it. Looking at the photos I take at each step are a big help in seeing areas that need more work.

Work In Progress - Black Lab Commission

Did I mention that this is Colored Pencil on Pastelbord? Spent the better part of today working on this in between business calls. A lot of work around the tongue. Coming right along...

Nearing the End on this one...

FINALLY got to work on this piece tonight for a bit. Getting dangerously close to finishing! After that I'll have to go back to the Acrylic painting (hate to leave things unfinished. A buzz cut is harder than regular length hair. Just is.

Still working...after work!

Didn't start working until after dinner. I think I got pretty far but I am getting tired. Before counting sheep, I thought I would post my progress:

What to do on a rainy day....DRAW!

It was a rainy day here. The county road crew finally dumped some rocks on the road after my husband read them the riot act. Here are today's updates:

Work In Progress- Colored Pencil on Pastelbord

Well, I have worked on this drawing a lot tonight and here is where it is now:

Stuck at Home again today! Road is impassable. I needed a break from the acrylic painting, so I started Grandchild #3, Michael, in Colored pencil on Pastelbord. Here is my line drawing on the board. Pardon the photo, I am indoors with my little digital camera.

Stall Plaques and such...

Working on an Acrylic painting. It is giving me fits! On a lighter note, I have done several Stall Plaques for ponies at Foxwater Farm in Thomasville, GA. I have two more to do as soon as I receive the specifications from the pony owners. Here are a couple of the plaques that I have completed.

First Blog-Tuesday Morning

Good Morning! I still have to learn this process. Up since 6 am...fed the cats, walked the dogs, answered business emails (my husband and I are Factory reps in the food Service equipment business. He sells, I man the office).

Now, what to create today!
